In order to use hot glue sticks you need a glue gun. The aim of the glue gun is to melt the solid hot glue sticks into a liquid so that it would be possible to use the glue sticks as an adhesive. Inside the glue gun the temperature should be high enough to melt the glue sticks. There are many different glue guns available. They can differ from size to size, but they can also differ from the level of temperature they will reach. When you are buying the glue gun you should already know for which kind of material you are going to use it. The problem is that if the temperature of the glue is too high or if you use too much glue, then it may happen that the material you are going to fix might melt as well. In order to avoid this kind of situation, it is advisable to purchase a glue gun that works in low temperature. You will also need hot glue sticks that are suitable for gun’s temperature. They should be available in almost every construction shop.
