There are very many different types of adhesives. One of not so commonly used types is a hot melt adhesive. Although, it is not very widely used, it is considered to be one of the most effective ones. Before heating, the hot melt adhesive is a thermoplastic and 100 per cent solid material in room’s temperature, in that way it is much easier to transport and storage it. The hot melt adhesive starts to melt when it is being heated. It is heated until it becomes a liquid. The melting temperature can differ from product to product, but usually it is in the range of 175 to 205 after Celsius. The hot melt adhesive is very different from all other adhesives as it fixes the materials together simply by cooling and becoming solid again. The hot melt adhesive starts to become solid again when it is cooled to the temperature that is below its melting temperature. As environment is a very important issue in nowadays world then one of the advantages of this type of adhesive is that it is very environmental friendly. The main advantage is still that the process of cooling is very fast, it is almost instantaneous, and therefore, using the hot melt adhesive takes less time then other adhesives.
